The Community College
system serves New Brunswick through a network of campuses. At the Miramichi Campus alone, 150 faculty and staff provide
training to 525 full-time and 1,500 part-time students.
University
Miramichi
University Centre
University students now have the option to take university courses without
leaving the region. The Miramichi University Centre offers courses from St. Thomas University (STU), University of New Brunswick (UNB) and Mount Allison University (MTA). The centre is in its nineth year of operations and averages approximately 150 students per year.
Private Schools
Public Schools
In
the public sector (kindergarten through grade 12), the region offers a range of enriched educational programs including French
Immersion. Carrefour Beausoleil offers francophone families the opportunity to educate their children in their mother tongue.
The Miramichi region is home to eight high schools with an enrollment of over 3,200 students and graduating approximately 540
students annually.
